Preferences:
- How do I turn SafeSearch on or off? (blocks results containing explicit sexual content)
- What if I want my searches results in a language other than English?
- When I click a link from my search results, I want it to open in a new window!
General Questions:
- How is this any different from the normal Google® homepage?
- Are my search results modified or altered at all?
Preferences:
The Google® SafeSearch feature allows you to block explicit sexual content from appearing in your search results. To turn this on or off, follow this simple instructions:
- In a new window, open the Google® Preferences page (located here).
- Scroll down the page and find the 'SafeSearch Filtering' section (underneath the Languages section) and choose the setting you prefer.
- Scroll to the bottom of that page and click the 'Save Preferences' button (located in the bottom right).
- Close the window, you're done! Now when you search from your CRAZYhomepage™, your results will reflect your changes.
- NOTE: If you've disabled cookies in your browser, your preference setting won't work. If you don't knwo what I'm talking about, then never mind, you probably haven't disabled cookies anyhow ;)
- In a new window, open the Google® Preferences page (located here).
- Scroll down the page and find the 'Search Language' section (the one with all the check boxes) and select the language(s) you prefer.
- Scroll to the bottom of that page and click the 'Save Preferences' button (located in the bottom right).
- Close the window, you're done! Now when you search from your CRAZYhomepage™, your results will reflect your changes.
- NOTE: For the best search results choose the 'Search for pages written in any language' button. Your results will match any language you type in anyhow :)
- In a new window, open the Google® Preferences page (located here).
- Scroll down the page and find the 'Results Window' section (at the very bottom) and check that box.
- Click the 'Save Preferences' button (located to the right).
- Close the window, you're done! Now when you search from your CRAZYhomepage™, your results will reflect your changes.
General Questions:
Well, we thought that was pretty obvious, lol. It looks better! But seriously, the way the search page looks is pretty much the only difference other than a few extra features on the results page that Google® doesn't provide, such as the CRAZY Cloud at the bottom of the page,a dn a few links to CRAZYhomepages.
Absolutely not!
The search results you get from using your CRAZYhomepage™, and the search results you get from the Google® homepages are completely identical. We know better than to tamper with a good thing ;)
If you test this yourself by performing a search on both, you'll see they're identical. The only occasional difference is the placement of the Sponsored Links. Sometimes they'll display at the top of our search results, whereas they might be displayed on the right side of Google®'s search results. But it's still all the same, and the order of non-sponsored links are identical.
